Perumal (Lord) Moolavar is Deivanayaka Perumal in standing posture facing East. Uthsavar- Devanathan, Divishannathan, Vibuthanathan, Dasasandhyan, Moovaragiya Oruvan, Adiyavarukku Meyyan. Thaayar (Lakshmi) Moolavar is Hemambhujavalli Thayar. (Vaikunta Nayaki)
There is a Hayagriva Sannadhi at Aaushadagiri hillock where Swami Desikan worshipped Garuda and Hayagriva. Lord Hayagriva appeared and blessed Swami Desika. There is a sannadhi for Swami Desika in the temple. The Theerthavari and Malai Uthsavam during Purattasi (Sept. - Oct.) are important festivals. It was here that Swami Desikan accepted the challenge and made with his divine hands, a uthsava moorthy of himself. As this sthala was conceived and constructed by Adisesha, the place is called Tiru Aheendrapuram. Garuda and Adisesha brought the Viraja (Garudanadhi) and Pataala Ganga (Sesha ) Theerthams for the Lord and are used for Thirumanjanam and for making Prasadams respectively. Swami Desikan's house where he resided for 40 years and the well constructed by him (as a challenge to prove the title of Sarvatantra Swatantra) can be seen to this day. Swami desikan has lived around forty years in this divya desam.His thirumaligai and the well that he has constructed by himself are still being preserved. Sri Manavala maamuni has also did managaLasaasanam for this divya desam and there is a separate sannidhi for him in the mada veedhi.
This Divyadesam is situated at about 5 Kms. from the Tiruppapuliyur (Thiruppadhiripuliyur) station on the Madras - Trichy main line.
Thirumangai Azhvaar has sung 10 pasurams in his peria thirumozhi ( Third decad first thirumozhi). Swami desikan has composed two tamil prabandhams (mummaNikkovai and navamaNimaalai)and one sanskrit(prakrutam) called achyutha satakam on Deivanayakan.
